TMJ TMJ occurs when there has been some sort of damage to the hinge joint in the jaw. This injury can cause pain, difficult talking or eating, and even trouble breathing. It has been found that this particular compound reduces much of the pain associated with TMJ and allows for more normal eating and speech.
